Gusans (Armenian: գուսան, from Parthian gōsān) were singers, instrumentalists, dancers, storytellers, and professional folk actors in Parthia and ancient and medieval Armenia. In Armenia, the term gusan is often used as a synonym for ashugh, a later type of singer-poet and bard.
